Die neue Ausstellung \u00fcber die Vulkane Islands und der Umgebung wird eindr\u00fccksvoll im \u201eLava Center\u201c in der Ortschaft Hvolsv\u00f6llur dargestellt.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Etwa 20 km nachdem Sie die Ortschaft Hvolsv\u00f6llur verlassen haben sollten Sie nach links auf die (249) abbiegen und den Wasserfall Seljalandsfoss bewundern (Parkgeb\u00fchr). Hier kann man hinter dem Wasserfall vorbei gehen. Ein Spaziergang entlang der Felsenklippe bringt Sie zum Zeltplatz, und dem Wasserfall \u201eGjl\u00fafrab\u00fai\u201c, der Schluchtenbewohner, der durch eine enge Schlucht zu sehen ist. Regenkleidung nicht vergessen, wer in die Schlucht hineingeht! Es lohnt sich.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Die Fahrt auf der Ringstra\u00dfe (1) durch die teilweise bepflanzte Sander M\u00fdrdalssandur und das moosbewachsene Lavafeld Eldhraun bringt Sie zur Ortschaft Kirkjub\u00e6jarklaustur. In Kirkjub\u00e6jarklaustur ist der \u201eKirchenfussbodens\u201c Kirkjug\u00f3lf, einer besonderen Formation von Basalts\u00e4ulen, durch eine kurze und einfachen Spaziergang Der Parkplatz ist \u00fcber eine kurze Schotterstrasse erreichbar. Weiter geht es zur Gletscherlagune J\u00f6kuls\u00e1rl\u00f3n, wo Sie eine Bootsfahrt mit dem Amphibienboot oder dem Zodiacboot zwischen den auf der Lagune treibenden Eisbergen unternehmen k\u00f6nnen. (haben wir weg gelassen) An der M\u00fcndung des Gletscherflusses schwimmen h\u00e4ufig Robben, und auch werden oft kleine Eisbl\u00f6cke an den schwarzen Sandstrand gesp\u00fclt. Sie k\u00f6nnen auch eine weitere, kleinere Gletscherlagune besuchen, diese liegt noch vor der allseits bekannten.
